Former Croydon Central MP Geraint Davies has won a court injunction against an ex-constituent who carried out a campaign of vilification' against him.
A High Court judge found Thomas Moore, who now lives in Rochdale, Lancashire, guilty of harassment under the Protection of Harassment Act 1997, after assuming Mr Davies' and his former case-worker Sarah Branson's identities and posting material on his website which could have been construed as racist.
The court heard how Moore pestered Mr Davies and Ms Branson and used offensive and abusive information about the duo on his website after attending one of Mr Davies' constituency surgeries in 1999.

Mr Justice Eady, who granted the pair a permanent injunction against Moore yesterday (Tuesday), concluded that it was impossible to pinpoint the precise cause of Moore's grievance, but added that he appeared to have taken some offence to the pair at the meeting.
The case brings to an end a dramatic five days for Mr Davies who lost his parliamentary seat by just 75 votes in last Thursday's general election.
Despite finding Moore guilty, the judge declined to sentence him as he was absent from court.
